Successful neo!

this is my second successful attempt at making a neo  can’t get over how cute it turned out this time. Though, I might have to remake it again because it’s ‘too long’ and the part that is inserted to the nakagosaki (?) got loose (4th image). Unlikely though lol I love it as it is

That is quite a beauty indeed!
And I love the netsuke.
Kudos!

You can tighten this one without too much trouble, though.
Just calculate how much you need to remove, which I estimate at 5~6cm length, and triple it for the final singthe thread removal length.
Define which end will be the one cut short, if it’s the one that comes out at the Netsuke exit or the one just above it. Then start at the other end, pulling the rope to shorten all sections, going around the loop maybe twice or thrice to not pull too much at one time.
It shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes of work, and you will get it to perfection.

Cheers.

Thank you so much for the reply!! I’d make another one with my extra rope using your advice
