Synthetic skin accident

Hi,
I am glad and grateful that I have found you. I had a little accident yesterday. The skin is synthetic, it’s a brand new min’yō shamisen from Kameya in Japan. I received it in January. It sounds great. I just wanted to know if there is something that I could do before sending it back for repair in Japan. Glue? Paste? Bachikawa?

A little hole is not a big problem as long as the head is tight. Apply super glue to the hole’s edge and then sprinkle on chalk or bone dust (cinnamon works too). Repeat until the hole is closed.
