Tabs/Tuning

So Hello everyone! It’s been a while since i last wrote :stuck_out_tongue:
Took my shamisen today and started playing and there’s this one song i would LOVE to know how to play which is Hiromitsu Agatsuma’s Time Traveller

here’s the link :- YouTube

So the question is does anyone have tabs for this?
or does anyone know what tuning he is using?
Started to learn a bit but it sounds bit wrong…

Yeps… I got to the part 0:43 but what comes next … i haven’t go a clue :DD

edit: I mean the sound is so mellow that i doubt it’s Ni-agari
any kind of insight would be appreciated

Ohisashiburi, Ortjo! Good to hear from you.

Oh, I love that song! I don’t have tabs for it though.
I thiiink he’s in Honchoushi tuning. It sounds very… honchoushiesque. :stuck_out_tongue:

This is the grinding part of learning a complex song by ear - repeating every part a hundred times until it all locks into the fingers. :stuck_out_tongue:

“This is the grinding part of learning a complex song by ear - repeating every part a hundred times until it all locks into the fingers.”

Damn straight kyle! well that bit helps me also. If anyone else has any info then go ahead and share

Yesterday i also started work on Kodo and for the first time it actually sounds somewhat what it is supposed to sound like

Part of getting a song like Kodo right is the volume dynamics. The video where they sit together in a smaller room and it’s black and white is good because you can feel the dynamics by watching them play.

Please go ahead and link it Karl! Thanks for the tip :stuck_out_tongue:
And after some testing i’m pretty sure that Time traveller is actually on San Sagari.

and ofcourse hajikis and stuff. Try with san sagari
… and after that i started thinking that even the first string might be Bb…

(edit: Decided to make it with karls awesome composer)

So tell me what you think and go ahead and continue trying to tab this if you are able :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Btw i have also tabbed (pretty roughly) Pirates of the caribbean theme and Rock Garden from a game called Tyrian

Hey Ortjo, I was talking about this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ron17xFNBf0

As for sharing PDFs from my site you won’t be able to do that. I’ve made it so that all generated PDF’s are removed every 10 minutes to make sure that copyrighted materials does not remain on my website because I can get sued, pay fines and go to jail if that was the case.

Hey, Tyrian is a killer game! Love it and its music!

Is this thread relevant?

Karl: Oh damn… well… Can’t you do the same kind of “Just to note: This is NOT released, verified nor approved by Bachido. It’s just something Kevin and I whipped up personally to help people learn this popular song. I needn’t mention that this is solely for personal use of learning shamisen. Sales/distribution is not allowed.”
thing to allow us to share info like this?

And Anthony: Yes well it’s kind of relevant :stuck_out_tongue:

Whow. I’m making so much greater progress on Kodo than i could’ve even believed :DDD I’m so happy i am able to play (even a part of) such an awesome piece!

No I’m afraid you don’t get off the hook with a simple use of words. If I did that I would have to actively make sure that copy righted material is not distributed and I just wanted to let it to work automatically. But I mean it’s up to you to save the PDF and upload it somewhere else. I think as a single person you can more easily take care of it than having a website.
