Hello everyone! I just got my first shamisen (a chuuzao) but the ni no ito that it came with snapped! While I’m going to try to order a replacement, is there anything that I might be able to get locally that would work in the meantime?

Search on the forums here for information on using fishing line. The sound will be a little different, but you’ll be in the same neighborhood.

Thank you! seems like what I’m looking for is something along the lines of 0.6mm fishing line. I would never have thought of that
