So long story short, I tuned my shamisen a bit too aggressively a couple weeks ago and the base of the tenjin began to crack, eventually causing it to fall off the neck.
I’m holding the tenjin open in the photos so you can better see the crack. I can’t remove the sawari so I have to figure out a way to mend the crack whille reattaching the tenjin to the neck, at least thats what I think I’ll have to do. I’m not sure any luthiers will be willing to look at this one so it’ll have to be a home remedy. Any advice?
