Hey, this might be a really dumb question, but have any of you ever re-fit or made your own tenjin cap (the little cover that goes on the top of the sao)? I have a matching doukake-tenjin cap set, but the tenjin cap is too big. To get a better fit, do you think it would be better to put some kind of lining in the tenjin cap, or should I just cut it down to size?
Recently, I refitted a tenjin cap which was too large for the tenjin. I recommend lining the tenjin cap with folded paper. Gluing it in like a shim will allow the tenjin cap to fit nice and snug.
