The Bachido Store - Now Open

Though it’s a little past my initial completion date of Early September, it’s Just in time for the holidays! :slight_smile: http://bachido.com/products

Stacks and stacks of thanks and blessings upon my brother, Luke Abbott, for his hours spent in consulting, designing and awesome-ifying the Bachido Store over the past… 6 months (as well as the whole Bachido site, of course). And 心からども有難う御座いました to Masahiro Nitta for researching products, consulting with dealers, and yielding to my constant nagging requests for information, even when he was touring in South America. The Bachido Store had no chance of being made without either of you!

  1. “Buying a Shamisen” on homepage not updated

  2. No hardness # for Bekkou Bachi

  3. Can’t expand Yubikake, Dou Gomu Shi-ru, Bachi Grip, and the 2nd picture of Standing Box pictures in Other Accessories

  4. Can’t expand Naga Fukuro and Pack Case pictures in Cases and Fukuro

  5. Can’t expand Ichi no Ito (Silk), Ni no Ito (Tetoron), Nylon Ni no Ito (Nylon) and San no Ito (Nylon) pictures in Ito

  6. Can’t expand 3rd picture of Kankara in Tsugaru Shamisen

  7. On Masahiro Nitta page: “Needless to say, Masahiro Nitta and Kyle Abbott (I.e, Bachido) have the same goals, and so is a real privilege to be partners in Bachido, doing the best we can to make shamisen accessible to the whole world.” sounds grammatically off and , “4. Formed the group “Nitta Oyako” with his father, and have currently been very active performing at the Great East Japan Earthquake live charity concerts in churches. together made a new album “Bonds” which will be released in May, 2011.” has some typos/incorrect tenses going on there.

When I say you can’t expand the pictures, I mean when you click on the picture the popup does not have the picture and instead says “The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.” I’m not sure if this is a universal problem or rather from my end, but I’m using Firefox if that makes a difference.

  1. Ah yes. After we updated the website, I looked at the main page and was like, “Yoops! That’s gonna be updated. ;)”

  2. Updated! Completely forgot to write ordering instructions for that bachi.

  3. Fixed! Turns out the extensions for those pictures were .JPG (in capitals) which screwed it up. I changed them all to .jpg and now it’s fine.

  4. Fixed the grammar and punctuation. Thanks much for pointing that out. Proper writing isn’t my strong point. :wink:

Yeah no problem man. This is my first day back home from college and finals, so I was just taking it easy today and relaxing and figured I might as well run through everything. Perfect timing I guess hahaha

And one more thing I noticed was on the shopping cart page. If you add 2 or more different items into the cart, the price on the top right of the page gets all wacky. If you put more than one of the same item however, it remains the same number. And tbh, I’m not quite sure what that number stands for compared to the other price at the bottom of the page…

EDIT: onnnne more thing, on the page after you submit a request to quote it says “Thank you for your inquiry! Nitta-san will look find prices for your items below, and send you an invoice as soon as possible.” There needs to be a “to” in between “look” and “find.” Personally, I would also remove the comma and add “will” after “and.” :slight_smile:
