I would lose the purple swan / wing / appendix (bluntly stating my preference here) and call it final for a shirt 
What if it was a red wing, and longer/broader?

And about perfect - maybe the purple wing could be reworked slightly for perspective, it feels a bit out of place at right angles. I think it’s good enough as it is though.
I would keep the wings small, otherwise they could take attention away from the motif?
Short- and long-sleeve T-shirts would probably work best. Tenugui sounds nice, though a problem can be with people who don’t know what it’s for, or people who know, but already have a stack of them.
or grey like the body or red/orange like the bachi? anyway this looks cute and almost final as for my taste … after that one I’d love to see another shirt design sometime with a fiercer looking dragon and a bad ass line …

just saying I really like the present version except for (maybe just the color of) that wing but including the text and the cute face and everything else about the design as it is … so one could focus on optimizing this first and at whatever convenient time do a fiercer version which sure is already fun to think about too … would love to have the choice eventually of picking cute dragon or fierce dragon from the closet in the morning depending on my mood so this could be a cool combo of 2 shirts in the same artwork style one cute one fierce or so … and I guess whatever cool bad ass line could also just relate to shamisen playing or shamisen players in general in some way and not so important or limited to that a dragon is expressing it
