Has anyone else noticed that their shamisen smells Really good? :DD
i’ve got nagauta shamisen and its rather new and it just smells ingredibly good 
so playing is even nicer and after the playing session you still smell like your shamisen!
and i started wondering … Is this something normal?
I think its the Quince wood…
I notice my shamisen smells really good too. But that might be because after each playing session, I wipe the shamisen down with bacon.

Well, I lacquered mine, so I don’t smell all that much from it. However, when I received shamisen to be skinned, I too distinctly notice that “shamisen smell.”
Someone should market it as a perfume!
