That is the bachigawa, it adheres to the skin with a mild adhesive usually.
It protects the skin from bachi strikes. Is it plastic or thin leather?

Not so sure, it made some kind of paper-like sound. it become more loosen now. I think it’s because of the heat. So maybe it’s a thin leather.
Should I stick it back with an adhesive? will that damage the skin?
Use the kind of clear glue that is suitable for styrofoam. That glue doesn’t have harsh solvents, and the residue is easy to remove. But definitely glue it back.
