Tsugaru Shamisen Improvisation and Bachizuke!

Hi Bachido! I recently made a video for Tom Monda from the Amazing band called Thank You Scientist. Tom has been working with me over Skype trading his supreme guitar knowledge for Shamisen lessons (Tom is seriously one of the most Awesome guitarists I’ve ever had the pleasure of interacting with). Anyway it occurred to me later that some of the ideas here might be beneficial to people like Karl H., Anne and maybe even Grant although Grant is already super Bad Ass on the Shami. And well, maybe some other bachido members might find the info here useful as well. I know there are many aspiring talented players who visit this site so here are some ideas for today. . .

Whoa, badass!

Awesome video Kevin! And of course funny

The stuff that struck me immediately was the slow performance of the 430 and that there are actually two different versions used. Also, maintaining the bachizuke while improvising is something I will practice on.

Hahaha!! Enjoyed the multitasking segment! That is Bachido flavored. :stuck_out_tongue: Anyhow, well taught. Simply said and clear!

Ganbarou~ Tom!

Thank you! So great to have clues on what to practice on!
I’ll get the multitasking part going as soon as I can! Lol!

Let’s do it with chu-hai when we’re all together!

Thanks everyone! Glad this could help!

(also Anne thanks for those recent vids in the other threads)

well this is the awesome part 2 I just spent over an hour or more I lost track of time with part 1

boomboomshaka boomboomshaka

Hey this is awesome!
Just said in the other thread how i’m having troubles with proper bachizuke so this will surely come in handy.
Great video alltogether so my oppinion is that this video should be added to learning center under advanced techniques or improvisation training.
