Does anyone have information about Tsugaru shamisen teacher or school/lesson in Singapore? There is someone who soon will go to Singapore and wants to continue the lesson.

Ah! You should get in touch with Sue Kwek. (http://bachido.com/community/members/305) She leads a taiko kai in Singapore, and is also learning tsugaru shamisen. Recently, a shamisen instructor was brought from Japan to give seminars there, so I think there is a good group of shamisen players/enthusiasts there, just not many teachers (if any).

Not sure if this is the same group/person, http://www.hibikiya.com.sg/ is a taiko group that also does shamisen. They used to have info on their site, but looks like it was recently updated and now I can’t find it!
