Unopened Chocolate Bar, B H does it again!!!

Dear Bachido,

The highly anticipated sequel to AUSTRIAN TAXI DRIVER is finally here! Yes folks the long wait is now over! Once again, inspired by Bachido’s very own B H, this new tune was created after witnessing the emotional photo image of an Unopened Chocolate Bar and the corresponding story that went with it!

So hold on to your seats, prepare your fire extinguishers and get ready for the heat cause I’m about to unleash some Fury here ladies and gentlemen…

Here I Go!!!

whoohoo awesome I also like that 1:39 - 1:41 stuff I am not sure did I already hear a song heavy with that I mean with a lot more of that but when I heard that I thought Heavy Silk Shamisen could truly become an established shamisen style . . .

and thanks for the dedication I guess in this case I can actually take credit for at least that cool title . . .

Yet another CLASSIC! Epic song Kevin!

The taxi song is still one of the songs that I show to people because I know they’ll like it, shamisen sound haters or not.

Now I can show this one too!

Duuuude!!! This is even more epic than the first song (The Austrian Taxi Driver)!!! I think we’d all be totally proud to call this a real sequel!

Now I guess I will need to write some simple, short lyrics! :stuck_out_tongue:

Once crunchy…and delicious… Hot pocket …cocoa squishes. Drifting taxis…driving you, what else could that candy bar do?

Chorus!

Fire extinguisher Pppsssshhhhhhh

We should record it in January!!

Unopened Chocolate Baaaar, you’ll go faaaaaar in your caaaaar!

Oh wait, that was the other song…

a lot of ways to approach this I guess . . . after all I ate that bar of chocolate (eventually with the help of a spoon) on summer vacation after working on my shamisen so this does not have to be that taxi based I guess or at least more accurately would have to be about a taxi driver on vacation . . .

an unopened bar of chocolate and an in the works shamisen could also stand for yet to be realized potential to be unleashed soon . . . under and despite of harsh (above room temperature) conditions leading up to that no less . . .

Hey that’s a new concept of art! Melt your unopened chocolate bar in the sun and then squeeze it like you did. Then put it in the freezer and when it’s frozen take it out, unwrap it and take a photo.

Success.

unopened bar in regular form . . .

(obviously an english language version)

oh I would rather throw it out in the snow . . . guess this could actually be done in winter heating it first on top of a coffee machine or maybe I am just thinking about this way cause I just watched that clip anyway snow can be a source of inspiration for sure . . .

as for the chocolate this one also featuring purple cows is the most common brand of good quality chocolate around here and it is available in a lot of flavors and as several minutes of research showed Mirabell (Mozart ballen) and Milka and Toblerone (a famous swiss triangular chocolate bar) are under the same umbrella company of Mondelez on the other hand with Jacobs they also got a rather bad coffee in their mix of brands . . .

Haha! Thanks for the inspiration B H! Somehow I always seem to discover the grooviest melodies inside my head after reading your stories of Taxi adventures, putting together Shamisens and unopened chocolate bars! I’m not sure where these melodies come from, but they certainly didn’t exsist until the moments when you set down your thoughts here on the Bachido forum! Pretty fun! Be sure to keep up the sharing of your life events here! Something tells me there are even more tunes waiting to be written ! Perhaps someday there will exsist a full length Bachido album of songs all taken from snapshot moments from the life of B H!

Haha! It will be Awesome!

Bachi On!

K

I’ll admit that the first time I saw the first picture, clutching the wrapper with a victorious rock star grip, I thought it was a condom.

Hahaha!! I was thinking the exact same thing! A CD of BH inspired songs. You know, if it’s planned well, it could actually be in the style of an opera, with many segments going through different feelings and moods (yet somehow always incorporating the lyrics ‘in his caaaar’)

oh really Kevin that is cool for sure thanks for sharing that I mean that somehow these tunes would actually not be around otherwise and are somewhat beyond a dedication is cool to hear

of course the summary of thoughts in my mind with regard to shamisen in general and shared activities on this form is that YOU are an inspiration to all of us . . .

(where I pick up english phrases)

as for an album I would rather suggest keeping that earlier idea in mind of creating an album inspired by forum activities in general or a mix of such songs and further theme songs like the one about coffee that people could come up with by themselves too . . .

or since the taxi stuff is also themed just an album with theme songs abour various topics without regard to where the inspiration came from as for the taxi stuff I would be overwhelmed if this would also end up on an official CD I would probably need at least a couple of weeks to reply to an announcement of such a release (just kidding) in any words that would make sense (not kidding)

I’ll admit that the first time I saw the first picture, clutching the wrapper with a victorious rock star grip, I thought it was a condom.

what could I possibly reply to that in a decent manner except that yeah a chocolat bar it is . . .

of course I did only not back up my gratitude for Grant’s earlier percussive efforts and Karl’s legendary lyrics contribution for lack of calendar availability and financial reasons (crazy shipping costs especially considering that I am an actual taxi driver) but I should make up even for that sometime and of course whoever else who might want something from austria like mozart ballen, dolls with a weird hat or featuring a cow bell around their neck or the not austrian but also readily available around here Milka chocolate featured in that latest song just send me a message in case you are willing to also cover those shipping costs via paypal or whatever although I couldn’t consult you on Sound of Music souvenirs that is ironically something that hardly anyone in austria knows about in detail although I plan to visit a friend in Salzburg city later in august and could ask about that stuff like a common tourist visitor in the shops there . . . even though the well known died too early Falco dedicated a song I guess

Thanks B H! Yeah I know Kyle has been talking about producing mostly “singles” in the future but I too like the idea of creating a huge collaboration that could potentially be put into CD form! Aki (TenTen Canada) Karl H., Jamie L., Anne and Masahiro, Kyle ,Grant, Adrian plus an obvious contribution from B H the “Real” Autrian Taxi Driver himself !
Also would love to get Cana and others such as Sid, Jack Matsumoto, Pat, Josh, Ortjo, Travis, Linda C. and of course Norm Nakamura! Plus anyone else who wants to join in!

With the technology of today it’s possible to create epic musical collaborations without any of us having to leave our countries or even our homes!

Haha okay sure that would be even greater than you guys doing all the work in a studio . . . although with the latest public performance on keyboard dating 20 years back this makes me tense I hope the shamisen I am about to roughly finish and I could throw some noise in though too . . .

Dude, Kevin, I’m still working on that piece I was playing around with last Summer. I think I’ve got a pretty good structure down finally, so now it just needs to be fleshed out a little bit. Or not…? shrugs Maybe I’ll upload a rough version of it sometime and then we can all see where it goes.

Jamie, do it! There aren’t many video posters here so whatever you’ve got will be welcomed and beneficial to the community. Besides, don’t you want people to start practicing your song for when the bachido community meet the next time?

Jamie,
As Karl has just pointed out posting it soon will give me and the rest of us a chance to absorb it and have our parts ready to jam with you the next time we all meet! So…to quote the Great Karl H…Do it!!!

I’ve always said in my many speeches and writings, if there is anything we need more of here at Bachido it’s… MORE JAMIE LOW!

No but seriously I’ll be totally looking forward to checking it out, so whenever you are inspired to do so, please don’t hesitate to upload that S&%#T! Woot!
