WHAT!? A Bachido Action/Adventure Film???

Yes, it’s true. From the guys that help bring you bachido .com , Kyle Abbott, Masahiro Nitta, Grant Reimer and Kevin Kmetz star in this action filled adventure flic which was created to promote their NEW Monsters of Shamisen Cd. Of course none of them knew that is why they were making this at the time since it was done several years ago…but hey! It’s all relative right?

Anyway join Masahiro and Kevin as they battle the forces of the evil mastermind KYLE and his wicked henchman Grant! Hahahahahaha!

Enjoy.

Oh my god.

After years of burying these memories away…

Still, fun to watch again.

Man, have had an AWESOME Santa Cruz Bachido Mini-Fest yesterday. Many pics and a good blogcast will be made from it. I definitely learned a lot.

Stay beautiful, everyone!

Thank you for the fantastic film with wonderful action and good shamisen BGM! It gave me a lot of smile and laughter at coffee break, fueled me another energy to get to work again.

dramatic score and badass action in this movie

i am speechless…
ROFL

Love it

Must say, nice smooth roll there Grant. Made me remember my so far only Bujinkan training with Anne!

And Kevin, of course you had to have a bloody double barrel gun lol.

And Kyle, daaamn your previous wife was hot!

This film actually starts with part one here… I guess it would perhaps make more sense to see this first. Although maybe not since it’s all kinda nonsense … But anyway, Masahiro and Kevin are breaking out of some kind of prison and eventually escape to northern Japan which is where part 2 starts.
So here is part one.

Great! It made more sense and want to see part three.

lol! first I see second part and I think: this is crazy! then I see first part and I think… this is so crazy! jaja

Seriusly, It was very funny! My favourite part its when Masahiro and Kevin hide as sweepers!

nice ninjitsu techniques from Grant Reimer  and very good evil guy, Kyle, you scares me a lot!

You will sell the ost well!

yeah kyle was definitely very scary

B H, Haha, yea, scarier than the Mom in Braindead?

So was there a script, or should we just say Jah was involved?

I must say, Mike Pennys performance was worthy of an Oscar.

B H, Haha, yea, scarier than the Mom in Braindead?

a close call haha

We should probably finish up this series and have a grand screening at the Bachido Festival! (and royally embarrass Masahiro as well, I’m sure  )

Well thank you everyone! As it so happens I do practice every day to for just these types of situations!
Oh man, these always bring back happy memories. We are definitely going to continue the series next year when we’re all together in Japan - there’s just no other option.
And no Karl, there is no script. We always make it up as we go, drive around all over the place, and it invents itself. Couldn’t be more fun!
I would say it’s more than obvious that Jah was involved in Part 1, but it shouldn’t surprise you given that it’s in California. Haha.

Haha! Yup, as Grant said we basically just start filming and then create some sort of story as we go… But to anyone trying to make more sense of it all I guess the story goes something like this…

Evil Shamisen Masters have captured Masahiro and Kevin. We can only assume these two are somehow a threat to the evil organization which has big bosses in both California and Japan. Mike Penny is in charge of keeping them imprisoned in California and gets very upset when evil henchman Grant Reimer has to call him to inform him that the two have escaped. Meanwhile Masahiro and Kevin find themselves embarking on a psychedelic journey through some strange lands. Mike Penny, fearing for the safety of his evil empire writes a letter to Kyle Abbott in Japan warning him that the two fugitives may be headed his way.

End of part 1.

Part 2 begins where Masahiro and Kevin wake up from their psychedelic dream only to find they have somehow been teleported to northern Japan. They steal a van and set out to face the evil organization. Kyle Abbott receives the letter from Mike Penny and calls Grant ordering him to “come to Japan !”
Grant arrives in his private airplane and meets with Kyle to devise a battle plan. He hunts down Masahiro and Kevin and finally engages in a gun fight with them in a Forrest. The two escape after Grant is wounded and eventually find their way to the lair of the evil master Kyle. There they do battle and for some reason after the fighting has ceased all four of them decide to pick up Shamisen and transform into various monsters. And so… The Monsters of Shamisen was born.

It is great and quite fitting episodes of making of The Monsters of Shamisen! I wish I could see how they throw away the guns and instead grabbed the instrument. ------ I mean ------- inserted psychological process could be fun to show how they came to realize that playing together is much more fun than fighting. And happy drinking together can be set as a scene.
Wow, what a wonderful imagination the Monsters of shamisen give us!

Yeah now we finally know where it comes from. Although, I don’t know if Grant’s polar bear hat counts as a monster

But, I’d say your God of Shamisen record is much more worthy of the monstrous masks, in the good sense, when it comes to the music.

はい、そうですね!I agree!

I just watched Prometheus at a theater in Shimoda, Japan.
Made me think about all these prequels that people keep making. Then it dawned on me that our Bachido movie has one too…

Prequel . . .
