I’ve just recently bought my first Tsugaru Shamisen, and the price was unbelievable!! I bought it from a guy in Japan who was selling shamisen. He sold it to be for $1,500.00 I simply couldn’t resist, so I bought it. 2 days later, he emails me saying that when he went to package it up, it had been severely damaged. Then the next day he emails me saying he has another Shamisen he wants to sell me. He sent me pictures of the shamisen. “OH MY GOSH!!” I said when I saw the pictures. It was a Tsugaru Shamisen with a lacquered doukake, 2 komas, a shinobi koma, a bekkou bachi, 2 bachi cases, a KORG tuner, 3 packs of strings, a saofuki, and a hard case for the Shamisen all for the price of $1,100.00! so instantly I bought it from him and told him how grateful I was. I love the shamisen! 
WOW that’s incredible!! Synthetic or natural skin?
