One drop and my plastic koma shattered to pieces. Luckily, it was me and not my kids (ages 2 and 5) that dropped it. That being said, I do have kids and they do break things.
Does anyone have recommendations on which koma would be the most durable?
Going for toughness I’d say the bamboo koma would be the most ideal. Bone and kouki are both much harder and therefore more likely to chip in a fall onto a hard surface.
Any of them will be much more resilient than the plastic koma, though.
