Acrylic Bachi

Has anyone found one online? I’ve searched everywhere and no luck. Hey Kyle, will the site has these available during September too? :3

Hey Raul,

But of course. Acrylic bachi will be available in September.

Sometimes you can find fairly cheap tortoise shell bachi on Ebay if you’re interested. I bought some a while back. I definitely recommend them over acrylic.

Well, price wise, acrylic are better, imho. I tried Pat’s acrylic bachi, and it had the same flexibility of a tortoise shell bachi. A $200 acrylic bachi has the flexibility of a $500+ tortoise shell bachi. Given that fact plus the fact that they don’t break as much, the benefits of acrylic bachi outweigh tortoise shell (disregarding the “authenticity” factor). Especially for those who are saving up their money for an espresso machine.

Now, if you spend enough money on a tortoise shell bachi, you will have a flexibility that vastly surpasses acrylic bachi. But that means spending over $700… along with that, flexible tortoise shell breaks faster than stiffer, I believe.

You should be able to get one at www.chordscanada.com - they have additional stuff that doesn’t show on their website, so just send a quick email and they can quote you on it.

Having played with both (and not having an unlimited budget for bekko m’self(!)), I tend to agree with Kyle.

And disregarding the “illegality” factor, of course…

(damn formatting stuff…[lol] Ever considered putting in a “preview” function??? )

You know, you might sell more of the “additional stuff” if you actually put it on your website.

And disregarding the “illegality” factor, of course…

Plus, I’m sure the tortoise would be happier to keep it’s “mobile home”

We will look into that… beyond question, at the appropriate juncture, in due course, in the fullness of time…

Yeah, I know… There’s actually a newer version of Chords’ site waiting to be uploaded , and I’m the one holding it up because I haven’t found the sound clips I like yet that are supposed to be part of the instrument pages…

Plus, I’m sure the tortoise would be happier to keep it’s “mobile home”

“Mobile home” - that’s so cute!
