Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recently, I discovered a YouTube channel, in which there is like a series called NHK blends, which focuses on covers (by known and reknown singers such as Eric Clapton, The Beatles, Madonna) re-elaborated with traditional Japanese instruments (and also contemporary such as 20/25-strings koto or jushichigen) with Western instruments

Please let me know what you think about!

You are correct, that channel is amazing indeed! Thanks for the notice!

I love that channel! Let it Be on the Biwa, Shake it Off on jiuta shamisen, and Bolero on Tsugaru Jamisen are my favorites on that channel.

I really loved the attempt on let it be, since lots of biwa players are only restricted to this traditional world ahah!

Also the songs featuring 20/25-strings koto were really cool!

Yeah, all songs are beautiful because you find all potentials of instruments! And I was really surprised for including gagaku instruments, since they’re a rarity!

I don’t know my favorite songs, because they’re all fantastic ahahah!

For your information, Reigen Fujii will be featuring on Blends next weekend if you have the application on your phone or tablet ( maybe computer too…)

It will probably be on YouTube in the following weeks if you miss it.

If I correctly understood, there is an NHK blends app? Really???

I’m freaking out!

I am sorry but I mentionned an NHK app… Blends is just one program on the app.

You need to find the NHK World TV application.

But since it will be broadcasted only next weekend, you have a full week to install the app on you phone or tablet. It works on my Android and on my IPad so it’s already a good news

And I just checked the link posted by Reigen again but I think it will be Oyama Yutaka and not him but it is worth watching him too. He often plays with Masahiro Nitta.
