Bachido Nagoya gathering, May 19 Sunday!

The shop is new to me! It says it is closed on Sundays and national holidays(>_

I called Otowaya san and the shopkeeper says he can open it in the morning on May 19. And do you think you want to visit at around 10:00, Josh and Pat? He sounded happy to have us at his shop.

sounds nice damn it that damned lottery drew the wrong numbers otherwise I would so be there for Otowaya san’s opening of the store on may 19th argh

Additional info:

 Rough budget:
  1. your transport.

  2. Nagoya castle admission ¥500
3.your lunch(depending on how much you Hoover)

Gathering at Golden clock at 11:45.
Going to Otowaya san was cancelled.

Linda might have tons of luggages after Japan shopping and we will give a helping hand to drug her load to the near by hotel. She might have bought the Nagoya castle whole!(◎_◎;)

Applying for Nagoya Taikai participation is still available in May. Nagoya has never had as many foreign players before as Hirosaki, and must be easier to get a special prize if you are a non Japanese.

I got free invitation ticket for the Taikai on Aug.11. The lottery hit(^o^)

oh wow are you going to play there?

No. Just as one of audience.

Sorry Otowaya san cannot open the shop on may 19. He called me and says someone needs his help on business.

Kyoko-san, you are a bad girl!!! I did not shop that much…( I only bought one room of Nagoya castle ) And thank you for discovering that special kimono for me - Mari, Debora and I decided it was too beautiful to stay in Nagoya, so I did buy it and will think of you whenever I wear it.

See you all next weekend at the Takashimaya clock.

Great, Linda san!!! You did not take and hoover everything from Nagoya(^ ^)
See you at Takashimaya clock!!!

It seems it will rain tomorrow afternoon ~ around 5pm’ish. I’ll still bring my shamisen out - fiber skin win! Looking forward to having more fun in the morning! See you all real soon!

Am SO SO JEALOUS!!!
not only are you visiting Japan, you’re visiting Nagoya castle too!!!

Reporting in!
Just arrived home, wet as a dog! (didn’t bring/buy an umbrella today) But proud to share my shamisen case past the rain test with perfect score! ( For Linda and anyone else interested - I bought it from this shop on amazon, http://www.amazon.co.jp/にちわ-38013810-「三味入れ君」リュック式三味線ケース(長唄三味線用)-紺/dp/B006OSQT16 )

In other news, the 1st ever Bachido Nagoya Gathering was a great success. More updates later!

And here’s one especially for B H - Josh sitting in a kago (= the Japanese taxi of days gone by :-D).

oh my haha I was already about to comment on the first picture and then scrolled down further thanks Linda and Josh also for impersonating a decent looking customer

as for the first one that one is cool too and so glamorous as if it were the result of some promo shooting for a brochure or I could imagine seeing it on a poster that announces the upcoming performance of one hot hogaku band coming to town . . .

(as for me I just got home from wine country (austrian county of burgenland) first shot view from my parents house there and others from a flashy wine company we visited they got 80.000 litres canisters there for mixing cuvees and good looking barrels in the showrooms that are acutally also in use for storing and aging wine)

coffee was good too thanks to my parents’ new espresso machine . . .

actually one that can be fueled with both beans and grinded coffee I have never seen that before . . . should have brought the already grinded bachido coffee I got at home too . . .

anyway too bad though I missed out on that cool looking nagoya gathering I hope some other time in the future for sure . . .

Linda, Josh, Pat and Hannah chan! Thanks so much for joining in Nagoya gathering and for nice cooperation to have a wonderful gathering!
We really had fun time though it was wet all the time.
Well, Linda san, you are still in Japan. Are you having a good time?

June 16, 23 or 30 Sunday , I am thinking of having shamisen time at Kanayama Karaoke box in Nagoya. Just let me know of your convenience, Josh and Pat (^O^)/

I’m totally up for some jams in a karaoke box! Lets do it!
Any of those days should be okay for me Kyoko!

Pat? What say you?

Of course, others are welcome!
Let’s sing, drink, and of course, play some shamisen!
Bachido shirts optional? haha

Woot!! Stoked to see connections have formed and the party is still continuing! These are good signs! Makes me eager for a Bachido EU gathering to hopefully have real life connections form with the members there too.

Love the picture of Josh in the old fashioned taxi!
