I don’t really like the gray when its on a white background. I like the gray when its placed on a black background though. What does it look on a gray/metal background?
I know you shade the bachi in other artwork, is this grey typical of how you like to see the symbol.
Maybe also show the unshaded/black outlined one on on a black and white background (like the just posted grey)?
I haven’t seen much gray outlining in designs and such.

Here it is with a colored background, just to see how it fits on different surfaces (or like a bumper sticker on a colored car)
I think it typically won’t be on a white background, I guess that’s up to the person.

That’s great!! What you’ve experienced and what you think matters! Most of all I appreciate 2nd opinion views to get another perspective and fresh ideas. No need to have an educated opinion. As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Holy . . . nice . . . I like the white shaded one or well I like the white ones and would be okay with any of them then again that black shaded one looks cool too . . . again I’m happy to be of help . . .

ah I am not getting more helpful here but this is still a better situation than otherwise I mean I guess whatever you choose you can’t miss . . . although and on a serious note I am sad that the Karl Hedlund’s proposal did not get serious consideration . . .
speaking of that kinda style and this is actually not meant as being unrelated (thanks for accepting the earlier promotion though) I like what some fellow freecarvers did recently who are also thinking about design options for shirts in this case . . .
so just another bit of inspiration for after now sometime a second wave of swag to be thought about whenever that may be . . . as I like the badass aspect of it and it would be cool to also have a bad ass version featuring the bachido mon sometime . . .
so on the pics below that would be their regular mon and that alternate version I like too . . .

Again I come back to how you like the symbol displayed.
I think I like the black and white lines, because when I see Japanese iconography it tends to be white (with other colors). Since the blackground is clear to create whatever color background you stick it onto, I like the white with black lines.
If your up to doing another… how about black lines, with the grey shading?
Maybe do these 3 these different sets (black lines, white; gray lines, shade; black lines with gray shade) with the 4 color backgrounds, and get whatever feed back from FB and the forum…
or again… if you really like a design look…

sorry for the lameness using paint and not bothering to colour it all in! but you should get the picture. The charactors also are supposed to be red. This is for white backrounds mainly like a bachido shirt
Honestly. I really like the red. Most likely, I would stick a white version onto my red iPad case. It would be opposite coloring from Cana’s picture~
Nice idea, Cana!! That does look nice! For now, I think I look like to start with just white (or shaded) and see how it does. I can’t afford to stock multiple colors now. 
But it’s definitely cool!

Okay, I’m gonna try the same with a black outline and see how it looks. I must say though, I thinki I’ve become a fan of the shading.

Personally, I still vote on the grayer outlines
yeah sure whatever but PLEASE (also) do that orange and rightfully called “feast your eyes on this” one on a sticker or shirt or something just keep that one in mind even in case it should not be the one for now . . . thanks . . .

Well you know, we were also planning an embroidered bachido patch. Perhaps the red could be done there? Or perhaps black/white for that?and red for a pin?
Teague, with your embroidery experience, how do you think it would look with a red inside?
When you request quote with a picture of the embroidery, they’ll give you a new picture back of what the embroidery will look like with the colors they have available. they’ll try to match up the color values that you have in the picture as close as they can. You’ll get a digital preview of what to expect before the order is placed.
Oh, that’s really cool. So after I get some samples, I’ll post 'em here for voting on which to have.
I’ve settled on the sticker, so will be ordering that later today and can then start on the patches.
Oh, I forgot to say. BH, yeah, that would be cool to have a design like that, especially for a lapel pin! I have to wait for someone to design it though, my artsy skills leave something to be desired.
Aright! Ordered stickers and am now talking with the fine folks at Quality Lapel Pins for patches. A bit pricier than I thought, so I can only afford 150~200 now. (I’ll order more if we run out)
Anywho, as long as I’m at it, I might as well order those buttons! (again, maybe just 150) Any thoughts on a 2x2 button of this?
