Happy New Year all,
Just wondering if anyone here is associated with Chords Canada:

I only ask because I saw Kyle’s book advertised on their site.

I believe Linda Caplan (who’s graces her presence on the Bachido forum every so often) is the head of Chords Canada.
Isn’t that right, Linda?
Thank you Kyle, and you know it’s correct because you’ve known me and Chords for a while now, and you were kind enough to credit Chords for various things in your book… Oh, and also 'cause we get your book directly from you. And btw, I’ve “confessed” in several posts in this forum, as well as in my profile, to being the owner of Chords, so it certainly ain’t no secret. :-D.
Happy New Year Matt (and Kyle, and everyone).
ah yes…
HAPPY NEW YEAR KYLE, GRANT and everyone on here!
Best wishes for 2012 !
Happity happity new year Kevin!!! Great to have you back!!
When are you coming back to California, btw?
(Finally) Got in touch with CC and spoke with Ron. Great customer service. Looking forward to my strings! Thanks Linda & Kyle.
Matt, thanks for the kind words, and happy to hear you you got “great customer service” (since that’s our “speciality” ). Happy shamisen-ing once your string arrive!
BTW, if you’re anywhere near Toronto on the March 3-4 weekend, there’s the annual, huge Haru Matsuri (Spring Festival) at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre that weekend. A few of my shamisen players will be performing with our York University Japanese Music Ensemble. (They mostly know jiuta, but a couple of them have learned a few Tsugaru pieces, too). We do two short gigs each day, and in between, we have a big room where people come to chat with the performers and see/touch/try the instruments. So if you’re around, stop by to chat/jam.
