Thanks Shinji it’s a start atleast!
I do not know the names of the other two but the group is 疾風
(Hayate) which means a gale, led by younger brother of Yoshida(Kennichi Yoshida).
I am proud to say my teacher of Tugaru shamisen is in this group. Not in this app, though.
Kyoko-san, is your teacher on this page? It is the members’ profile page for Hayate:

Linda san, thank you for telling us the profile page of Hayate!!! Yes, he is there and name is Koji Yamaguchi 山口晃司, and only 23 years old and nice guy and great as a player and good teacher. I began to take his lesson just a year ago. Yes, December this year is the first anniversary.
And this afternoon, I am going to see Nitta san’s concert!!! So excited!
Great find Ortjo! Haven’t seen that clip! I’m only sad they didn’t play even more with the possibilities of having 4 shamisens playing harmonies.
I’ll just leave this here;
How fantastic!
That’s some cool collaboration!
daaaamn the browser is not showing the vids :s grrr!
Shinji was complaining about the lack of activity on the forum, so I thought we should get this thread going again.

I think Asano Sho is a really good singer and while I usually prefer women singing I think the Japanese minyou sounds better with a male singer.
Oh yes, this post Is a real activity boost!
Thx!
Man, Akita Nikata Bushi is like the shamisen player said “Hey, you guys go and do your slow, atmospheric singy/flutey thing, and I’ma do what I want. Okay?”
Singing starts at about 1:12 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=GheD7dCppvE#t=72s)
Akita Nikata Bushi is ,if not the most, one of the hardest songs to play and sing. It is the supreme song, together with some awesome jongara bushi.
God,it’s fast style is so awesome!
This is an awesome thread and it should never die.
No idea who this kid is but he totally rocks it.
Have the patience to listen to this whole song. 'Nuff said.

R.I.P Guruji Ravi Shankar
And this is just plain AWESOME!
Sorry I’m extremely ignorant of technology and can’t figure out how to do that fancy window-pane thingie.
(whenever youtube gives you a https:// link you can remove the s to make it http:// and the embedding will work here)
I like this thread too . . . thanks
everyone aware that an all time favorite of mine Kizuna is in the Nitta SCOREBOOK available in the Bachido store now?
(I shall at least refrain from embedding the clip again)
Nice Jonathan!
Awesomely different kind of jonkara bushi by the kid!
and the other vids are silk also!
Glad you enjoyed them Ortjo. I know a ton of cool vids (as I’m sure we all do), I’ll try to post them periodically.
Nice links!
BH is right! The Nitta family’s first scorebook ever made is available in the Bachido Store - http://bachido.com/products/media. Includes notation to BH’s favorite duet, Kizuna, as well as other Nitta specialties!
Thank you so much for the Ravi/Rokudan video, Jonathan! I used to play that song when I was playing shakuhachi regularly (pre-tsugaru Kyle era), so it feels especially meaningful to me. Very well done and fitting combination.
Now here’s a guy who looks like he’s the boss (baos).
Niiiicccee Karl…
Hope this upstanding young gennelmen don’t mind me putting this here. He’s either too busy or too humble to do so himself, (although this may not be the most flattering example of his work). I have to watch this video at least once a day to stay sane… errrrr… uhhhh… crazy. This video and all the rest of his are like virtual crack. Highly addictive; and by the time you realize what you’ve done… TOO LATE! YOU’RE HOOKED!
Dammit! STILL CAN’T FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO THE WINDOW PANE THINGIE!
You’re a flippin genius Mike.
