To me, having spacing in the Japanese puts weird stops in there. Kind of like if you wrote in English with periods, like “International. Hogaku. Community.” Like they’re buzzwords instead of the name of an organization. If it doesn’t read that way to Japanese people, than it might be fine, but I say go without the spacing.

I agree with Jamie. 国際邦楽協会 looks most natural.

Ah yes, when increasing the font size, I thought the bolding made it a little too… in yo’ face. Thus, a bit thinner I made it. I’m gonna try reducing the size a wee bit more though.

For kanji, I made it bold, and also tried making it much larger. It looked interesting at first, but the top one is probably more visually pleasing. (?)
There’s no reason to argue anymore, but I’ve met several people who know what the shamisen is and what it sounds like, but it’s not like they are scavaging the internet for more tsugaru shamisen videos. Just setting that straight

Oh, I actually meant more that I thought it would look better if the text didn’t go above or below the mon. Like, if there were two imaginary parallel lines (tangents, even) running horizontally from the top and bottom of the mon, the text to the right would lie within those lines.

Honestly, that part of that video makes me feel so much better whenever I miss Japanese people. It’s like every enkai I ever went to. It just escalates to madness so quickly, but it’s so true to so many interactions I’ve had with Japanese people.

But with the minor fixes you have been making. For the saofuki it will just be rotated 90 degrees from what you have now. That will look good folded as well, if you align it so that the mon is towards the right edge.
It will also look much more legit on the back of a tshirt that way.

I’m between #1/#2 (sorry Karl ). #3 looks nice, but frankly, is the same positioning as the T shirt and, well, everything else. I think it might be more appealing to just make it slightly different, even if that means just putting the mon on the side.
I’m only speaking for myself, of course. When I think of myself buying two products (shirt/saofuki) with the same design/positioning, I’d only consider getting one. If they’re slightly different, I’d be much more inclined to buy both.
