Sounds nice Jamie! When you get the others on board I’m sure you can work out harmonies while keeping the main theme going to create something even more interesting.
Just a random thing. Some of the melody reminded me of an old child’s lullaby that I think all Swedes liked when they were little kids. Can’t count all the times I’ve fallen asleep by it, due to obvious reasons.

Jamie, glad you like some of my ideas. Remember it’s YOUR piece though so don’t worry about scratching out anything you don’t like in it. I was really just throwing out a bunch of ideas just to see how they would sound. But still, glad you seem to dig it. It’s a great little tune!

My second idea of Jamie Low shamisen Music.
This time I tried to add some dynamic to the song; quiet part, harmony part, solo part… and so on.
The sequence is same as original.
I left a section open (so that people can improvise). It would be nice to change the length of the improv part, depends on the player.

second part (2 shamisen: me + me):
Excuse my shamisen manner, I couldn’t use my bachi. It’s too noisy for my apartment.

Just a whimsical idea, if we are going to have so many players, any thoughts on having a Georgian choir style harmonies?
By the way, Aki. Nitta san often plays shamisen that way when we are arranging songs.

oh man its starting to sound epic, I agree with the theme song idea!
Mainly because it’s a good mix of old and new shamisen 
I feel like this piece needs a title so we can stop calling it “Jamie Low Shamisen Music.”
How do you guys feel about “Enter the Tyrant”? At first I thought it sounded kind of like a journey, but I wasn’t sure where to or how. But after hearing your different versions of it, it sounds more regal and yet menacing. Liiiiiiike a tyrant! It also seems appropriately shmetal for Bachido. (Any Tomb Raider references unintentional.)

To me the song feels like the point where your feelings are in the middle of being sad with no hope and the feeling of pulling yourself together. So something along those lines.
I also feel that it could be played at a slower tempo for more feeling.
