Yousuke's Custom Shirt - Deadline Sept 15

Hey everyone,

Just a few tidbits regarding the making of a shirt for our dear friend Yousuke.

Handwritten one liner:

At first, I thought just typed text would look fine for the shirt, but yesterday, BH sent me a handwritten note which I was easily able to make into something shirt-ready in 2 minutes.

Needless to say, the handwritten element, no matter how short, really really amplifies the personal touch.

What now?

Those who haven’t submitted their Best Wishes and want to, please write anything (even just a simple “we’re thinking of you, Yousuke!” is awesome) on a piece of paper and take a top-down picture of it with a camera. It will take less than five minutes for you to make and will look so awesome. I will do the rest.

Ease of mind

There’s no obligation to write a long letter if nothing comes to mind. Keeping it simple and from the heart is always best. If you wish for his speedy recovery, just saying that will be ultimate. :slight_smile:

Deadline

Masahiro wrote me yesterday, saying he’ll compile everything and give it all to Yousuke in October. I would like to complete the shirt by September 15 so there will be time for printing/shipping.

Make me proud, folks! (Not that I’m not already :wink: )

I’m going to write something in Japanese. I know you are asking for handwriting but is it ok if I just type a short thing out?
I’m going to wait to check my kanji and stuff later though so…hold on!

Sure. Text or handwritten, anything is good.

You’ll get mine tomorrow. I’ll be writing with my tablet. I guess a PNG with semi transparent white will work if you have a black background?

Awesome! Actually, I think I’ll make it a white shirt. I dunno, it feels like it’d be happier than a black shirt. So black text will be fine.

Hey everyone!

Got an excellent amount of submittions! This is going to be awesome indeed! Many thanks to everyone who contributed. :slight_smile:

I made a little mockup and sent it to Masahiro. He’s thrilled with it, and thinks Yousuke will be very moved by it.

(Note, you’ll have to save the image to see the full size, I think)

Once I receive Kevin’s handwritten contribution, it will be sent to the printer!

I started to wonder you know!! The I thought you made it in such a big font size that the shirt happened to be in the middle of the characters.
