Hahahah!! Good stuff.
Linda, like this for you?
Perhaps the the back should be Florians suggestion (except for the back, not front)

Oh man! That’s awesome brahhhhhhhh!!
Seriously that is cool for a shirt design! Its got my vote for sure!
I think the one you made from Florian’s idea looks great on the back!
As for the front, I think it might get too small and cluttered when it is so small. When the text gets a bit annoying to read it will put people off I think.
Karl: That’s a good point. Internationalblahblah would be quite small, but ‘Bachido’ would be big enough, you think?
Btw, here’s the front of the Karate shirt I made years ago. I think that was pretty legible.
Oooh!!! Also, as I was making a cappucino for breakfast, Mama walked in wearing a shirt with a colored kanji in the middle. I thought, “Of course!!” To make it even snazzier, the mon can be colored in a similar way, I think.
Also, perhaps another idea is the mon in front with a real brushed kanji in the back. (Perhaps I can get Masako to draw it, as she used to study calligraphy)
Kyle:
I actually liked the original back layout (i.e. full size, centered) for the shirt front. However, your newest “Linda” design, with that back layout reduced in size and moved to the right side, is clean, tasteful, doesn’t seem like a billboard ad as per Grant’s worry, and seems absolutely perfect. Oh yes, and Karl will be happy to know that this new design will also work perfectly with my breast size… !!! [rofl]
I think it’s a little bit too flashy with the gradient bachi colors. Maybe it is too orange compared to the text. I don’t really like the itomaki in the “o” either I realize.

I’m getting pictured like some kind of pervert here! I was having a legitimate concern here. There are usually bigger people complaining on tshirts being too small or badly designed with the print.
Karl, on a more serious note, your original expression of concern was very intelligent and showed a surprising (to me, anyway) degree of fashion awareness that could be helpful to some of the many couture houses out there, judging by what one sees coming down the runway some years… So, even tho’ you’ve being kidded about that comment, I personally appreciated your drawing attention to the fact that people do come in all shapes and sizes. Thanks! (from the short and petite department {smile})
Kyle,if you can color it,why don’t make them as bekkou bachi? Since bekkou bachi is one of the principal factors when playing the tsugaru style.
Thanks Linda
Must be all those hours I’ve had to spend next to my girlfriend in front of Project Runway lol. Or it is the time spent with computer geeks at university who were overweight. I wonder which one.
I think Kyle will have to print some tshirts at first and see how it turns out!
Shinji’s idea about the bekkou bachi would be cool to see actually!
yay
thats always good
and well kyle thats cause your kyle and are therefore awesome for it
maybe we could get badges or iron on mon’s ?
could just put them over a blank shirt… and iron the mon onto it
When and where can I buy it Kyle? haha.
Cana,
That’s a cool idea (iron on mon). We should file that idea away somewhere safe and not forget it! I imagine that might be something Kyle would look into later unless he hates the idea and dismisses it. I personally like the notion of iron on mon.
Kyle,
I dig that last design but did notice the same thing as Karl pointed out with the colors. It’s cool but yeah I did feel it was a bit too orange. I think it will be easier to judge if I saw an example of a real person wearing it. Either way though this shirt is going to be epically cool !

thanks kev ^.^
did you get a chance to look at the design my bf designed? Would like to know everyones thoughts on it… so i can bug him later and prove to him hes an awesome artist who should draw more
Cana,
Yes I love that design! Sorry, I had meant to mention that earlier.
Hey guys,
Okay, we’ll keep it simple for now and just have B/W, later on we can fiddle with colors (Yoops! I just remembered that more colors costs more money!)
Shinji:
Good idea Shinji! I’m not too good at making a tortoise shell texture, but I’ll try something to give that impression.
Cana: Iron on mons! Awesome idea!! Let’s definitely to have that available! Stickers as well.
When and where can I buy it Kyle? haha.
Hey Neil! As soon as possible, as it seems we’re only a few days away from confirming designs for the first shirt!
As for where, excellent question! I found this place (Design Your Own Custom T-Shirts | Spreadshirt) which seems okay… but I never got anything from there before, so I have no idea. If you (or anyone) has any suggestions of places to make quality shirts, let me know!
Linda: Cool beans! So, the front as a half mon, and the back as a full mon, with only kanji (no english text)?
Yesssssss!
Nice
