Kuroishi Yosare Bushi - again.

Presenting the one and only, famous music piece that every tsugaru shamisen player will learn to hate, sooner or later!

I apologise for the sound quality, that’s the best I can make with the camera I have for the moment. (Kind of hard hearing the suri.)

I’ve been struggling for a couple of weeks with the last parts of the song and as you can hear and see I’m still having trouble with with keeping the rhythm in the end.
But I’m still quite happy with the rhythm as a whole and I tried to get in a bit of the bachizuke at least once in a while.
I’ll keep experimenting with that to get some idea when the mae and ushiro bachi will make the sound better.

Also having trouble with making the hajiki on the ni no ito. Find it hard to reach and pull my ring finger. Any tips? Oh, I know one way! Practise more!

Looking forward to feedback!

^.^ very nice
i could hear the rhythm the entire time, should be easier to tell with more practice like you know  hehe

I’m happy to see (or hear actually) that you have the intonation done properly! Speed will come, just continue to practice.

As for the hajiki it’s hard to say. I’m still practicing on getting a good hajiki in the 4300 part that Kevin made a video about and every time I experiment a bit with holding my hand in different ways. To have even more ways of positiong your hand you can move your elbow a bit.

Great job Anne! Keep up the great work. Looking forward to hearing your progress. Especially around the year 2018.

Hi Anne - you’re starting to get a nice flow. Keep up the good work!

Kevin: Yeah, 2018 will be magical! >:D

I think I’m in love. Youre doing so well!!!

You are progressing really well Anne! Keep at it!

As for the hajiki it’s hard to say. I’m still practicing on getting a good hajiki in the 4300 part that Kevin made a video about

Nice! the best of your playing its your focus, its the better way to improve. And I think your video will help a lot to people like me, that are new in shamisen, I can see all the things in your video thanks to the tempo. You play very well, and surely you will play better, I think you are in the right path

Anne, it’s been six months since your last video. I guess everyone wants to see your progress!! I recently found Bachido’s webpage, started to play shamisen and need some encourage to keep practicing =D
Everyone, GAMBARE!!

Sorry for my english! It might be a desaster

Fabian! And welcome to the bachido community! So nice to have you here!
I’ll put up a video in a couple of days for you. During that time you can find my Rokudan (and many of the other member’s versions too) under the Rokudan challenge post.

Keep up your practice!
PS. Don’t worry about your language, I understood you perfectly fine. DS.

Hi again Fabian!
Here’s my newest Kuroishi Yosare Bushi! Enjoy!
And, as always, I really appreciate any feed back!

The sepia was just for fun. Looks kind of cool, doesn’t it?

Rock On! You’re really getting a great feel for the Shamisen!

I think that you play really good! As “The great” Kevin sais, ROCK ON!!!

I recently finished the tutorial, my fingers still rusty but one day I’ll be playing like you.
GREAT JOB!!!

Great improvement! Keep going! I love the idea of sharing everyones version! I need to memorize and record the song!

Dare I say, this should be the “Kuroishi Yosare Bushi CHALLENGE” thread???

Oh Kevin, the shamisen is the love of my life (sorry Grant)! I intend on not disappointing the audience on my cave concert in 2018… lol.

Fabian: I’m happy I can inspire you a bit. It’s annoyingly hard some times, but don’t give up! Looking forward to play with you one day.

Josh, great idea! Let’s go for a Kuroishi Yosare bushi challenge!!!

Hey everyone - get your version of the song in here!
