I agree, left is best, and shift back design up 60mm and step word bachido down one size. Do you feel you’ve opened a can of worms, at the end of the day you may have to please yourselve and me and forget about everyone else:)
awesome t-shirt Kyle ! I also think that the two designs are place too low , but otherwise everything looks good to me . Will you make them in different colors by the way ? And the tricky question , any idea of the price the t-shirt will cost ? i just can’t wait to wear it at work and show off a bit !
on the back side I would move the whole thing up a bit but keep the font sizes as they are . . . I would insert a little space though between the english and the japanese ISS text lines maybe about as much spacing as there is between the mon and bachido so just moving the japanese line a bit down . . .
also and I mean also cause I like the whole thing I could imagine having just the text(s) as they are and with the spacings they have up accross the shoulders and not having the mon at all on the backside . . .
as for the frontside the mon looks a little big and a little right (side) which I both don’t like totally . . . guess if the mon is big on the front side it could also be centered there or have it a bit smaller and rather on the left side as for me . . . although I know the right side idea is the sao not to cover mon version for serious performers . . .
anyway I would buy that shirt and wear it also as it is now . . . good job and so looking forward to a shirt being available . . .
Damn Kyle you are so lean (and mean). I would say the front logo looks a little bit large but maybe it is because you ain’t carrying around a lot of luggage so to speak.
I agree with the others that the whole back part must be moved up! I’d say let the top of the circle go a little bit below the shoulder line. By doing so, people will have an easier time seeing the logo as it will be closer to their eyes.
And Anne I wasn’t expecting to see you there! When you started talking Swedish I thought I would hear “oh shit” but turns out it was a planned thing Hope you’re having a great time in the states and that you are learning as much as you can from Grant and Kyle!
And one more thing. I stand alongside Liam when I say “UNTUCK THE T-SHIRT!”. I mean is such a thing even possible?
Looks great! I agree, Kyle, that the front mon should move just a smidge to the right. And regarding its placement on the right: One of the members—it might have been Linda—suggested putting it there so the sao doesn’t obscur it when playing. At first I thought this sacrilegious but grew to like the idea of our shirt being unique in that way. So, good job with that.
I guess there’s no need to add my support to raising the rear design.
Bottom line: Can’t wait to get one of my very own!
Everyone: Thanks for your opinions! I’ll raise the images upwards more.
K H: As Chet said, the right alignment is so the sao doesn’t block the design when playing. Interesting point about the Japanese text. I guess it’s not as subtle as I thought it would be. I’ll try taking that out in photoshop and seeing how it looks
Florian: But of course! We’ll get some other colors available. As for prices, I’m not quite sure yet. Perhaps $20~$25? I haven’t settled on a place to make them yet. Marina (Bachido model) has a contact who has shirts automatically printed to order (meaning, I don’t have to stock my closet full of them), so I may go with that guy.
It’d be awesome to find somewhere that could make a leather jacket for it.
BH and Karl: What the hell?!? I don’t really follow, but I think I’m offended!! ;-(
I’m going to make a mockup with the half-mon in front. Even though the full size mon is a little large… I dunno. It feels like there should be another full mon on the other (left) side.
The front mon is good as the full one. Needs to be moved to the right and quite a bit smaller.
The back should move up but otherwise I like it!
I think it would be better without the fading on the front mon and just have it be monochrome honestly. I don’t like how it perfectly matches the design on the back.
The kanji looks noice imo.
And tuck your shirt all you want bro, you know what the ladies like!
Seeing it without the kanji, I think it was better with it. It’s outside the mon, so I think doesn’t interfere much. Besides, when Masahiro saw it, he said he wanted to sell it in Japan. For that reason, it’d be good keeping the kanji, methinks.
Grant: Yeah, the front in monochrome could make it better. And even more for that reason (not having it completely match), I think the half mon might be better. About to try that out.
